Maria Krawarik

was born and raised in Vienna, Austria. After graduating from the fashion school Hetzendorf she worked as a fashion designer in Vienna. She married and moved with her spouse first to Germany for five years, then to the USA where they lived for over 22 years.

In America she studied painting with air brush and acrylics. Upon returning to Austria she continued her art studies working on oil paintings and acrylics. Portrait painting is her big love because of her fascination with people. Today she is a free lance artist continuing to improve her skills at the Künstlerische Volkshochschule Lazarettgasse and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.

Because of her background and the different environments she lived in she is ever curious, open to challenge, and flexible. That is reflected in her vibrant style of painting. Inspired by her spouses work she has created art renderings for various media.
